At long last, Digg has finally released its application for Android users today. The new app, which is pretty slick, comes with Digg Reader integration, allowing you to take the news that’s important to you on the go or save it for later.
Here’s a quick look at some of the features for the new Digg Reader app from the Digg Blog:
Popular messaging app, WhatsApp has a new update ready for its Android version that fixes a bug that caused some minor localization issues and adds video editing capabilities.

The latest version of WhatsApp includes basic video editing within the app itself. You can cut your clips on the fly while you’re on the go! It’s hardly Final Cut Pro, but the addition of editing tools adds a lot to the video sharing built into WhatsApp.

As evidenced by our roundup earlier this year, there are a lot of apps and desktop software out there that allow the pairing of an Android smartphone to a Windows or a Mac computer. Most manufacturers (such as Samsung and HTC) even offer their own software, which ships with many of their devices or is downloadable from their website. But most of these are a bloated attempt at an all-in-one solution to syncing.

Certainly, none offer the finesse and reliability afforded by Chrome 28, Google’s newest version of the browser, along with a neat third-party App. Krome, developed by Damien Piwowarski allows all notifications to appear as a ‘rich notification’ in Chrome. But that’s not all. This beautiful app has a few more tricks up its sleeve.

Better video quality with less bandwidth and no third-party code

Some of us may have noticed an increase in Google+ Hangouts quality in recent weeks, but the bump to 720p HD video is more than a simple settings change — it's the move to a brand new video codec called VP8. Prior to this transition, Google was using the more widely-known H.264 to handle video in Hangouts but has run into issues handling multiple video streams at high quality with the codec.
VP8 is a royalty-free and open codec that brings several improvements for the end user, including higher video quality — which is rolling out to everyone now — and group video calling in the browser without any additional plugins. The overall reduced bandwidth required for VP8 video also means that Google can now serve up higher quality streams with even less data.
When it comes to Android, customization is the key but when it comes to optimization, unfortunately the stock tools / options are not sufficient enough. So, to address this, here comes and all new android app which is dubbed as “Super Optimize”. This is of great help as we have tested this in the Nexus 4 smartphone which is currently encountering huge issues with the battery drain after it received the Jellybean 4.3 Android OS update as OTA. So, let’s check out on what are the features of this app.

Repix has launched an Android version of its photo editing app after the iOS equivalent was downloaded four million times in just five months.
The app – by Finnish developer Sumoing – is not just a quick and simple port, but a brand new version optimised for Android devices with additional support for the Samsung S-Pen stylus.
As with any mobile OS, there are a lot of ingredients that go into Android’s mix, and though many of us share likes and dislikes, each of us has a set of favourite features. In my case, Android’s tight integration with the Google Apps services I use on a daily basis makes life a great deal easier, and it was one of the primary reasons I chose to switch to a phone powered by the little green robot.
Auto-Awesome is a really, well, awesome feature for Google+ Photos that was revealed at the I/O that makes animated, filmstrip, or panoramic versions of your photos automatically once they’ve been uploaded. Today’s update to the Android, iOS and desktop Google+ app enables notifications for whenever your photos are auto-awesome-ified.

Since Need for Speed: Underground revolutionized racing games a decade ago, many copycats have come into the market. I’m a big fan of the genre and have dozens of racing games on my tablet, however, to my detriment, it’s very easy to develop and publish on Android, so many of the games that I find are barely playable and most seem to sing from the same hymn sheet — zero innovation. But now that devices are getting more powerful and the OS can handle more complex graphics and processes, things are certainly getting interesting. Games that would have been impossible just a couple of years ago are easily developed and supported on Android. CSR Racing is such a game. Judging by its appearance, this drag racer has very little to offer. But looks can be deceiving; let’s check it out.
